We lucked out and go to go on two Lindsay family vacations this year. Except this vacation wasn't actually that lucky. We went down to St. George for a week in August. On Sunday night we packed up the kids and the bikes and drove many hours to get in some heat, biking, pool time, family games, and maybe a little bit of shopping. Monday morning Cari, the first victim, woke up not feeling so great. A few hours later, the stomach flu started taking out people left and right. By Thursday, twenty-two of the twenty-four people we were with had spent a day in the bathroom. At least it was only a twenty-four hour thing. It hit hard and fast and was the craziest flu plague I have ever experienced. NO, it was not the SWINE Flu! So, we spent the week, in a beautiful condo, with a wonderful pool, great bike trails all around, not to mention the outlets, in bed. We did actually get out to a water area with the kids. The kids loved it and it was FREE. Gotta love that. I really hope that we didn't get close enough to get anybody else sick. This flu bug would probably take out all of St. George. We called the health department the day we were leaving and they were very interested in what we had. They asked if somebody would bring in a stool as a sample to see what was going on. We didn't have any takers.
